Did you have a great Thanksgiving Day? I know I did. I love turkey and the trimmings. In a few days, I'll post about a new way to prepare your turkey for roasting, by brining it. The flavor was amazing.

Just after finishing my meal, I sat down while the children built their snow fortress and my husband watched the Detroit Lions lose badly (~smile~), and I put the final edits on a little ebook I have been working on called "Joyful Momma's Guide to Christmas Gingerbread and Other Holiday Treats". Unlike my other ebooks, this one is rather short (25 pages total), but it's packed full of information. I have great instructions and recipes for Gingerbread people and houses, homemade hot chocolate, fresh chai tea, Venetian bar cookies, and even how to make your very own Turkish Delight to eat the next time you watch Narnia.

Yippee I'm done!

Completing a job always feels good, doesn't it? Woo hoo.

This weekend, I finally finished editing my newest ebook, Joyful Momma's Guide to Cartoon Creations (Glory to God!) This book actually started out as hand drawn, photocopied pages I was sharing with my cartooning class at our homeschooling co-op last fall. I cleaned them up quite a bit, scanned them into the computer (or rather, paid a child a small pittance to scan them into the computer for mommy...) and added some additional, supplemental material to them.

This book covers both how to DRAW cartoons and cartoon characters, and also how to WRITE cartoons. You see, my two big talents growing up (and today) are writing and drawing, and these work well for cartooning, as both skills are necessary to be a good cartoonist. I also address publishing cartoons as well.

This book can be used from elementary age on up to learn the basics of drawing pretty much anything as a cartoon and writing for cartoons.

Well, if He were fair, I'd not have the opportunity to be saved from my sin. If He were fair, I'd not be on my way to heaven.

That's what was on my mind recently as I pondered the fact that I've been saved now 18 years today. August 3rd is a special day to me because that's the day the Savior reached down and justified me, and washed me white as snow.
